I hear that is another of those BS tales. If you are talking millions of years maybe so, but not hundreds, or even thousands of years.

Archaeologists do.
They have excavated sites, building sites, that have had glass windows
in them, and the glass is considerably thicker at the bottom, in every
case. Granted, it takes a _really_ long time, but glass is truly an
amorphous substance, and, a highly viscous fluid.
