Seems odd that Pentax would be interested in what seems like a small market. This is a 
facet of Pentax of which I was unaware. Remembering some of those Pentax patent 
designs I used to see, I wonder if Pentax was thinking of producing their own 
rangefinder?

The future of Pentax...High end digital and a legacy 35mm film rangefinder camera that 
appeals to the film diehards.

LTM is shared with many cameras, although mostly all older rangefinders.  However, 
adapters are available for numerous other bodies
