I'm still awaiting the final word on whether the
K-bodies have stepless shutters; I've gotten replies
both ways so far. Hopefully some old cranky guy
who hates all the "new-fangled" stuff will give
me the definative answer.
One thing that's nice about the KM and K1000, IMHO,
is that the meter sure as heck is analog and stepless.
You can track what the sun is doing in the clouds easier
with these meters than with any other I've used.
Another thing that separates the KM from the K1000 is
that the KM uses the same screen as the KX does. It
has a small microprism dead center, surrounded by a
circle of _fine_ ground glass, which, in turn, is surrounded
by slightly brighter coarser ground glass. A very nice
screen for manual focusing; my favorite so far.
So how about it, all you salty Pentax veterans, is the shutter
stepless?
