i got the istD with the fa 50 1.4 and 135 2.8

on the 135 the autofocus is so fast i barely even notice it happening.

btw. i set the istD to only focus when i press the AF buttom on the back,
cause too many of my shots were mis-focused. also on my previous and now
backup film camera - a zx-5n - the camera would take so long to focus i
would get shots along the lines of "this is the wall where the person i
wanted to take a picture of was standing when i started focusing. by the
time i took this picture he was down the block"
