I think I've mentioned this before, but in case I haven't...

I have it set up so that a slight press on the shutter AFs as normal (for
those rare times I use AF ;-) using just the central focus point, but
then I use the button on the back to lock that focus by pushing it in! To
allow focus to continue, I release my thumb on the button. So, shutter
always depressed, thumb toggling AF on and of (in continuous mode of course).

Nice we all do it differently, it would be a boring world otherwise, eh?
