I once flew across the US with a Pelican 1450 case full of gear and a full
size Manfrotto tripod (and, boy, were my arms tired! - lol). They won't let
you do that anymore. It was much too heavy, anyway.

Mike, you are correct, it DOES way a ton! lol. BUT, I have a smaller bag
that I use for weddings etc. I just purchased the Nova 5 so that I can fill
it with most of my gear and take in on flights as "carry on luggage". No
matter how secure the case (Pelikan, Storm etc), I don't trust baggage
handlers at airports and have heard too many stories of entire suitcases etc
being stolen recently. With alot of travel coming up, I wanted something
that I could keep WITHIN my reach! If anyone else has any better
suggestions, I am very open to hearing them! :-)
