I have a roller case that is almost exactly the limit for carry-on size. Tripod and lightstands have to be checked, but I could get by fine without them. Mine was a freebie from Fuji (back when I shot lots of film) and is sort of a piece of junk (I think it's a Tamrac), but the Lowepro I borrowed for a few months from a Pentax rep would be ideal. It might have been this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=detail s&Q=&sku=149687&is=REG I don't like changing my setup for flying...the roller case goes to weddings no matter where they happen to be, and I don't have to worry that I forgot something while switching bags. tv
