What if the subject is primarily red? Does that mean that 3 of the 4 pixels
won't be seeing great light levels?
FWIW, and since this thread may as well drift a bit further off course, the
same thing happens with film.
Something I didn't think of doing when I was doing the colour print film
testing thing a while back was to test the resolution of each individual
emulsion layer, rather than just granularity.
