The only difference I am aware of is the diagonal (vs horizontal) split-image screen. Perhaps the "didn't have quite as fast a shutter" was actually referring to the ME. > One more nice thing about the ME Super is that it has the nicest > sound of them all. It says 'chap' instead of the 'kachunk' of the > LX... > Yes, the ME Super I had was the best sounding of any Pentax I've > used. I remember the sound as a wonderfully damped "snick." The ME Super indeed has a pleasant little shutter/mirror sound (mine all sound more like the "snick" - <g>). Although I use LX's for most shooting (occasionally a Super A) (and I have been thoroughly spoiled by the TTL flash those bodies provide for, which the ME S, unfortunately, does not), I am currently using an ME S for my "dedicated church camera" body, because it is so unobtrusive. The ME Super (and similar bodies) can be made [slightly] quieter by using the "Short Soft Case", just like the LX can be made [ever so slightly] quieter with the "Blimp Case". By the way, I was surprised to find that the ME F is not as quiet as is the ME Super - the ME F (to me) sounds a little more like an ME. Fred, K1FW
