Makes no sense. Until they go full frame 35mm DSLR what would be the point of 645 digital?

I don't think so. I expect to see DA lenses for the digital bodies, and FA-J lenses for cheaper 35mm bodies - Japan apparently believes that there is still a market for budget-priced film SLR cameras, as well as for digital cameras. That's the two lines of lenses. Even Canon feel that despite their increased economy of scale, and the fact that they use the cheaper CMOS sensors, a full-frame DSLR will remain a very expensive item. I doubt if Pentax could ever sell enough of them in a 35mm body to make it worth their while. I'd expect to see the larger sensor only in a 645 body.
