Welcome "home" P�l.

My guess is that the motion sensor of an in-the-body IS would need to have
some lens data, particularly the exact focal length, to calculate and
implement the correct degree of compensation.  It may be that chipped lenses
from F series forward would supply enough data, but it may be that a
dedicated chip is required.

Just a thought, anyway.
