<snip> Turkey, though, which I suppose is
Dickensian, as Scrooge does send over a turkey to the Cratchets on Christmas day, after his epiphany.

BTW, Christmas Eve, as has now become a tradition, we watched the English Alaistar Sim version of A Christmas Carol (I think it's now been retitled Scrooge, at least the colourized version). It's by far the best screen adaptation of the Dickens classic.

cheers,
frank

Duck a success -- in past years we made goose frequently, but also made
Peking duck by "cheating" and buying the duck in Chinatown. I love duck,
but
there is nothing so wonderful as a roast goose stuffed with wild rice
dressing.

Been a long time since i've been to Shun Lee - but then, it aint what it
used to be either.

Now it is time for an evening of old movies - Meet me in St Louis followed
by Holiday Inn
and, ugh, oh, yes - the dishes

Merry what ever to all and to all a good night!
