Can I just add my vote for the 55mm f/4 - this is an awesome lens that is razor sharp and soooo lovely & contrasty. If it was a 35mm system lens I am sure it would be a Limited. I have the late model with the writing outside the barrel and I can't see how it could be bettered. In the wideangle department I also have a late 75mm f/4.5 and that is also a good lens, though it can be a little harder to focus as it seems fairly dim through the finder. It also has an annoyingly large 82mm filter size against the 55's more modest 77mm.
If you are going to use this for landscapes, trust me, one look at those 6x7 chromes and every time you take a picture with the *istD a little voice in your head will say "I wish I had taken it on the big camera" :-) It really does make everything else feel like a 'snapshot'. Chris
