Has Pentax stated, that they will not release lenses with an aperure ring
anymore?
Does the *ist have a aperture control on the body, but not on the lens (like
the 'ist D)?

Also note that "all those new lenses" is only three lenses, one of
which, the DA 16-45,  isn't intended for any film camera (though it
supposedly works fine from 20mm up).
