I don't think so. There's no AF drive shaft on the body, so there's nothing to affect the AF mechanism in the lens. And there's no way to harm any of the electrical components in an F or FA lens by simply shorting out the pins. (That's what happens when you mount those lenses on an earlier Pentax body). The only possible way I could think of to fry the lens would be if there were a contact pin in the (in-)appropriate position on the body lens mount, and if that pin carried too many volts (or had the incorrect polarity).
