Why do you so often insist that learning to use a manual camera is "the hard way?"
What can be simpler to operate than a camera ... perhaps a toaster? Nah, they're getting pretty complicated these days as well <LOL> I don't know. A friend just bought his wife an Canon printer that takes media cards to go along with her Canon digital P&S because she could never figure out how to plug her camera into the USB slot. I think the real difference today versus 50 years ago is that you either used a box camera with no controls and expected little more then recognizable pictures, or you learned how to use a manual camera. Today they expect that a picture taken with a $6.00 throw away camera should look as good as something from National Geographic. Not reality, but P.T. Barnum put it best. No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public. Butch Each man had only one genuine vocation - to find the way to himself. Hermann Hesse (Demian)
