I have been reading many people sceptical about the differences in the quality produced by the Pentax RAW convertor and the other tools around.
I have done a comparison between PhotoLab & Photoshop CS which, to my eye at least, shows a stark view of the differences. http://www.calcot.plus.com/Pentax/LabVShop.jpg http://www.calcot.plus.com/Pentax/LabVShop2.jpg Look at the edge between the sleeve & background. The Pentax conversion if pretty horrible here, with a big black line around the edge. CS also has slightly better sharpness and detail.
