1) I don't care about other lists. I'm talking about the PDML and am suggesting a practise I think would be an improvement. 2) The netiquette practise to which you are referring, is for the purpose of protecting private and personal information sent privately in confidence. It's purpose is not to protect unsolicited private emails that may be considered as harassments, scaring the shit out of people and possibly driving them off the PDML, as in Tanya's case. Do you really favour such a behaviour? We've got a report of a list member feeling wrongly harassed.
