Some cameras that take CF cards will take both the type I and type II cards.
Those cards have different thicknesses.
In order to accomodate both designs, the rectangular "cave" into which the card is slipped is made wider than need be for the thinner one.
So, when you intall the thinner CF card you might have cocked it slightly just as the connectors are mating, and dislodge a connector contact or two, creating all sort of problems. Like take it back to the camera store sort of problems...
Removing problems? I don't know of any of those, just installing.
