Jens, the unit puts out two flashes: a pre-exposure flash to figure the 
best exposure, then the exposure flash. The problem with the 360FGZ is 
that it will do only P-TTL. Some people blink after the first flash, so 
the second flash captures closed eyes. There is no way to turn it off so 
that it does ordinary TTL. That's the main reason why I haven't yet 
bought the 360FGZ.
