What I do, when I acquire a new piece of camera equipment, is to put two entries in my diary; one three months ahead and one six months ahead. If I haven't used it after the first entry, it is a timely reminder to do so, if it hasn't been used much - or at all - after the second entry it gets sold. I could easily start a big collection otherwise and I can then release the unused equipment for something that I do want, and perhaps it also makes me think a little harder before I buy something - do I really need it?
