Well, if you would go on selling stuff - let us know <g>...
Seriously - I think that if one can afford it, one should have backup of all its dependable gear. As I was many times said here on the list, to have two exactly the same cameras - one as main, another as backup is good idea.
My wife says I should keep it in case I drop the first MZ-S into the water one day. But that's a lot of camera to have sitting round decreasing in value doing nothing.
I believe it, your wife is right.
Other equipment I have that will shortly be going to auction include a Z1-p, SFXn, P30T and a few assorted manual focus lenses.
I don't think it would be difficult to get rid of those <wink>...
How much equipment is too much? What would you do if you had excess equipment doing nothing?
I cannot tell you. Although I have two zooms that I *know* I am not going to use. One of them is already on loan to fellow PDMLer who should stay unnamed <g>... Another I will either sell or swap or give on loan...
If I had excess stuff, then as I said - it can be sold, swapped for something I need, or given on loan to someone who needs it but cannot pay. For example, hopefully I am going to get that Vivitar 2x macro converter. Obviously then, my Panagor Macro Converter would become obsolete. It is cheap and it makes no sense to sell it. I have at least one person who would gladly take it and I would be glad to give.
Well, of course, Z1-p is a different story, but I am sure you would be able to find this camera a good and caring pair of hands...
Just my cents.
Boris
