Sheesh, not bad for a "cheap" lens! Well, my cheap FA 28-90mm F3.5-5.6 produced some very sharp closeups with a tripod (not wide open, but closed down). I'm not amazed by it, but it's acceptable for 10x15cm prints (until I can't afford a better one). But my tripod it's nowhere near yours<grin> Attila
