Remember it is the desert, Frank. The angle of the sun in winter is such that the side of that mound with no snow gets melted, I'd wager... and then there is drifitng to be considered. I like the shot , too and the tighter cropping he just did works for me but it would be interesting to see even more of the top cropped - (Not that you and I couldnt do that with his image :)) annsan
