it's not just the head. if you have insufficient legs, the best ball head will still not hold the system well enough. also, i don't have the standard plate on top. i have their dovetail adapter with Arca Swiss-style body and lens plates. that makes a lot of difference. as far as i am concerned, any connection between the body or lens to the tripod system that uses a compliant surface like rubberized cork is a waste of time except on the shortest lenses.
