My god they saw you coming, I picked up my chrome MX in '76, (I could have had black for $10.00 more), with 50mm 1.7, Vivitar 70-150 f3.5 M42-K adapter, and never-ready case for $240.00 + tax. (The 70-150mm was selling for 140-180 alone). This wasn't a kit price, just a bargain.

Of course a "like new" black MX is probably worth more than $400 to a collector. However a mere ex+ with damage, which this one seems to be, is worth far less. There are just too many around. Hell at least he did not call it mint.

For what it is worth in '78 I bought a new black MX with the 1.7, exactly like what that guy is selling for $320.

anomalies like this auction aside, the price of clean MXen is creeping up again as the economy improves.

Just mentioning this auction because I seriously doubt any PDMLer is watching it with a view to bidding at this high a price!

MX with a dent up to $395 !

How about LX {1}, last type, as new (no box) for a mere GBP795.00?

There is an A*85/1.4 on the bay and the moment for the measly sum of US$1095 with bonus scratch on the rear element :-)
