Hi John,

I don't use filters on mine very often however I do have a 67mm filter ring 
(glass popped out) permanently screwed to the front of the lens as a short hood 
and to provide some additional protection to the fairly vulnerable front 
element. I do often also use the standard metal hood (MH-RB67 part #34130) 
screwed to the front of this filter ring and the assembly doesn't vignette.
