The tape will make a lens look like an A lens, but it will not make it
look like an A lens set to A.  The contact which makes it look like
it's set to A needs to stick out from the lens mount because the
contact is recessed into the camera mount.  That is the hard bit
because it needs to be spring loaded to get past the rest of the
contacts.
