That was my conclusion, too. I'd suggest using tungsten-corrected film, and ideally a filter on the flash so that close objects (lit mainly by the flash) aren't too blue. Mind you, I'm sure most of the subjects would be more than happy with the picture as-is; that "golden glow" is part of the ambience.
