And being a 50/1.4 Super-Tak, the lens is most likely yellow as well, looking through it, due to the glass.

This lens is NOT auto focus. It's an "auto lens" which means that the diaphragm operates automatically. They didn't always... The yellow is a reflection off the coating.

... and note how they had to remove part of the rear lens cap to accomodate the autofocus connections.
And of course that lens isn't yellow ... it's just the lighting!
