I appreciate your optimistic attitude, but, IMO, there has only
been, and will always be, but one flagship Pentax - the LX.  While
not perfect, it's as close as perfect as a 35mm SLR can be.  Newer
cameras, with their plethora of superfluous features, do not push my
buttons (while I, on the other hand, would have to push many of
theirs to get them to operate).  I prefer simple things, things that
work directly without a lot of technical intervention, and that is
not the direction that cameras and photography have been going.

Later today I'm going to shoot a few commemorative frames with my
three LX, sip some 25yo scotch or open a 30yo bottle of wine, and
listen to Heifitz on an old 78rpm vinyl disk while sitting in my
40yo leather armchair.  And, if time permits, I'll take a little
drive in my 1964 Cadillac convertible, top down, of course.
