One that I think is good as a 'my first Photoshop book' is 'Photoshop for Photography' by Tom Ang - http://tinyurl.com/45q7q. It is not as comprehensive as Evening's book, but it gets you started quite quickly and explains all the necessary terminology well, without going down to the level of 'this is a screen, this is a mouse'. -- Cheers, Bob
