This debate was up here somtime ago. I believe someone mentioned annother M*
lens bbesides the 4.0/300mm (which I, BTW - use quite often).

Where is the evidence (official Pentax explanation) that M* should mean
anything or more than just "compact"?

Unfortunately for collectors there seems to have been only one M* lens.
(M*300 f4.0).
