Good call, William. There are a lot of complexities in the Pentax lens naming system, and this is yet another.

Don't forget that life in Pentaxville doesn't end with 35mm. The Takumar and Super Takumar 6x7 lenses are very good indeed. While they were replaced by SMC Pentax 6x7, they were not budget lenses. I know you knew this Paul, but I wanted to assure the unwashed.
