Right. It's the Minolta Scan Multi, which I have (around $2000.00 new).
It would scan panoramic 35mm in medium format mode, but only at 1125dpi.
You could scan in 35mm mode at 2850dpi if you did the panoramic neg/slide
in sections. There's software around for this purpose but as you'd be rejoining
sections of a single image, rather than assembling an image out of multiple
slides or negs, you could do just as well with Photoshop or even a basic
photo editor. Simple, really.
