Perhaps your monitor needs proper calibration ... there's plenty of detail in the background. I can see the ring on the woman's finger, the curls in the guy's hair, ripples in his sweatshirt hood, and so on, and that's even in an improperly lit room (too bright, sun shining in).
Funny how some people don't see the detail yet those that I know with properly calibrated monitors have no trouble with it.
