I'll try explaining better. I can see the shine of the ring on the woman's
finger too, but if you didn't explain, I couldn't recognize for sure what's
going on there (neither it's a ring, nor she's a woman). I could only
understand there was at least one human being there (mainly due to the
shoe), probably two.

I meant that the couple is just a little more than a confused shape. To me,
they don't speak, and don't take active part in the picture (strongly
dominated by the head). They are just some unnecessary mess in the
background.

Probably, if they were easier to "read" (think of a possible couple
embracing standing still, instead of being confused like they are)
everything will work better.
