Well, I guess we see things quite a bit differently. I wanted them to be
out of focus, a bit obscure or mysterious. IMO, that's what makes the pic.
They were not intended to be obvious and clearly represented - that would
be a different photo with a different context.

My feeling is that it's a wonderful photo, not because I made it, but
because it's gotten a wide range of comments ranging all the way from
"masterpiece" to "crap." This makes me VERY happy, because people have
looked and felt something from it, and may have thought not only about the
photo, but about their feelings as well. If too many people like a photo,
then I feel I'm not trying hard enough, not pushing the creative or visual
or emotional envelope enough.

I'd suggest this, though. The couple, regardless of what you see and how
you feel about them being where they are and how they're displayed, has
given you enough material to write a few emails about them, and would seem,
contrary to your comments, to be an important and integral part of the
photo, more than an "unnecessary mess.". Otherwise, why so much verbiage
and comments on your observations? You may not like 'em, but their
presence sure seem to have pushed a button or two ;-))

Thanks! Dario ;-))) You've made my evening. I can now go to bed and have
blurry, OOF dreams <LOL>
