Yes, and they are lower actual capacity (mAh) than all but the poorest NiMH cells, they rely upon the initial high terminal voltage and subsequently higher discharged terminal voltage to fool the camera into indicating discharged cell status far later (in the discharge cycle) than is the case lower voltage cells.
