REPLY: BUT...a digital 645 could be made at the size of, say, a Nikon D70. In fact, such a camera could be made on the chassis of the current Pentax 645. Its chassis is in two parts. One for the film chamber, which could be disposed of for a DSLR, and the other the mirror box that contains the shutter assembly. The mount/film/sensor distance is only about 1cm larger than for the K-mount. Hence, such a camera don't need to be huge. Also, the lenses are no larger than Canon L-lenses. It will be interesting to see how the Pentax digital 645 turns out (provided that it turns out at all!). P�l
