Yep, the lens has a semi-circular flange, which protects the aperture lever and may supply some flare baffling which needs to be modified to fit, (most of it has to be removed). Someone on the list has a step by step description of how to do this but I can't remember who, and I can't find the URL.

Dear All,

My problem is I purchased a second hand Vivitar 28mm 1:2 Auto
Wide-Angle lens, Pentax K-mount. However the lens does not actually
go far enough into my Pentax MZ-6 camera mount to be able to rotate it
to lock into the mount. Is this a known problem with this lens/body
combination, or could it be a fault with either the lens or the
camera? I thought that any Pentax K-mount lens would be able to
attach to the MZ-6.

Any clues?
Thanks,
Leigh.

I can understand why mankind hasn't given up war. During a war you get to drive tanks through the sides of buildings and shoot foreigners - two things that are usually frowned on during peacetime.
