I'd agree.  If you don't want to work on the computer,
I'd recommend staying away from digital.

The only suggestion I'd make would be to take a look at
the MZ-S.  I own all three, and will generally pick the
MZ-S over the *ist-D as my auto-focus film body (even
though the PZ-1p is much closer to the *ist-D from an
operational standpoint).

You might still prefer to go with a PZ-1p, but you owe
yourself the opportunity to consider a switch.

the replacement is!  An all-risks named items rider on
your home-owner's insurance even covers loss by lake]
