Amy, is the scratch on the emulsion side or the back of the film? If it is on the back check the door of the camera where the pressure plate is for a piece of grit, a burr on the pressure plate, etc. Maybe run a junk (cheap) roll of film thru and then open the film cartridge and see if it is scratched. If not, try another lab? It's as likely their scanner than your camera.
