What these seem to do, and I have a few, is to increase saturation, and perhaps darken, in some mysterious way. Reflections from water, leaves, glass, etc. are NOT affected. It seems to me the filters you still need in this Photoshop era are Polarizers and perhaps ND grads and FLD (fluorescent light) filters.
