Sorry, I must have just gotten off the pot with JCO when I wrote that.
The theory behind TTL flash control is very sound, but the implementation of the technology seems weak.
I have heard of TTL flash problems from everyone I know who uses a DSLR, no matter what brand.
I don't know enough about the technology to comment further.
