To date all DSLRs and a lot of "serious" digicams used CF, so that's the tech 
many heavy users have sunk a lot of cash. Aside from the fact that CF will 
always provide space for 3-4x the maximum memory capacity of the day. However 
it likely we will see gradual move to SD with SD cards "catching up" to CF 
capacities (by design) so that the tech companies can squeeze more $$$ out of 
us until they phase out SD.

The sole advantage of CF is that they are physically smaller, not necessarily a 
good thing in its self.
