Hello Alan, I just had MPix.com print up quantity 10 - 20X30 inch prints. They looked very nice. Beyond standard prepping for printing, I did not res them up at all. My local lab tells me that their Epson 7660 resizes files very nicely. I'm guessing that MPix resizes them for printing.
The prints overall looked very good - as good as I was getting from my local lab on my 67 gear. These were not scenics, so the detail was probably not as fine, but I was amazed at how good they looked. Quite a while back, I had an image blown up to 16X20 that was shot on 35mm PZ-1p with Kodak Portra 160NC and the 43mm limited lens. It did not look nearly as good at 16X20 as these shots (6 different images) at 20X30 from the *istD. Yes, mathematically it seems that it should look bad, but everyone who has seen them has been very impressed (without me telling them it came from a 6mp camera). -- Best regards, Bruce Sunday, November 14, 2004, 10:46:20 PM, you wrote: AC> I cannot imagine how a 6MP file can do 20x30" print nicely without looking AC> fuzzy, but my PS skill is limited, so I am asking, "Has anyone actually done AC> that?"
