I pretty sure it's realtive to manual full power. It's for studio use, where you use a flash meter.
Multiple flashes and camera automatics will always give you problems, unless uou buy a dedicated set up. I Know Metz makes flashes that can work very nicely this way - wiresless of course. I never heard of anybody seriously working this way - except maby for photographers on the road - photographing sculptures etc. Otherwise an old fashioned studio setup works the best and is much cheaper. http://www.metz.de/photo_electronics/ Jens Bladt mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hjem.get2net.dk/bladt -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: Patrick Genovese [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sendt: 19. november 2004 11:02 Til: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Emne: AF 500 FTZ Question(s) When one sets the AF500FTZ to manual mode and sets the power to 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 power etc... The power level is relative to what : a) the 500FTZ's maximum power ? b) the metered reading taken by the camera ? If using multiple flashes e.g. 2 x AF500FTZs can you set the power level of one flash relative to the other and still maintain TTL operation using the 5p sync cord system. E.g Use a main light with a fill light at 1 or 2 stops below the main light. If i did not explain myself clearly pls say say so and i'll rephrase Tnx Patrick
