I know. The only thing I refered to was the performance of comp/plab, nothing more.
Oh, OK, performance to me also encompasses it's ability to produce a quality
output file, our measures obviously differ.
Performance was the wrong word here, sorry, I meant something like 'behaviour'. Not sure, english is not my native tongue so I might sound confusing sometimes :/
Just struck me funny your comp seems to 'freeze' when mine does not since mine is yesterdays average hardware.
I don't believe I said it freezes at all, it has badly controlled
priorities/threading, bad windows management and bad behaviour, ie windows that
can't be minimized, active progress dialogues that become hidden so progress
can't be monitored etc (I'm sure there's more, most shareware is better
written).
Naw, there is really a lot of bad shareware, but luckily most of it never makes it to my comp :)
btw, I just downloaded the C1 trial, now *that* software is fun to work with! The difference in output is a bit better then plab's, but the workflow and GUI is marvelous.
It got some glitches, too, needs to be restartet now and then, but otherwise it rocks.
the really nice thing about raw is: I now can convert them all over again and get better jpegs :)
