I've been poking around inside the Pentax file formats again, trying to get a better understanding of the colour balance used by the Pentax software (the eventual goal is to find some way to tweak the Adobe Camera Raw software to match the Pentax colours).
Somewhat to my surprise I found that one of my image files didn't contain a piece of information I was expecting to find there. On closer inspection I found that this was because the image in question wasn't one of mine - it was something I had downloaded from a web page, and was an example shot taken on using a *ist-DS So now I'm looking to see what the differences are between the *ist-D and the *ist-DS. I'd like to get my hands on a RAW file from the *ist-DS so I can determine whether the information is present in that - the downloaded example I have is a JPEG file. If anyone knows where there are *ist-DS PEF files available (or if anyone has actually got a *ist-DS, and could let me have an example of a PEF file from the camera) I'd like to know.
